It was such a hot day in early August when we dined upstairs, but it was so hot inside the restaurant! I don’t think I ever cooled down, especially while eating. The food was very good though! Highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. My husband enjoyed his steaks.

Relatively new tourist centric restaurant at the old Garibaldi site on South Market street. Interior is modest and simple. Menu is not large but omnivores and vegetarians can both be satisfied. Not fine dining but good for pizzas, and takes offs of local cuisine like shrimp and grits. Wait staff was good, prices are reasonable for downtown and it’s a good location with plenty of parking options. Overall we give Well Hung three clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Lovely little place. They do have outside seating but the sun was too much so we opted to eat inside. My husband ordered the waffle burger and absolutely loved it. I had the margherita flatbread which was good too.

Everything about this place is delightful! Love the cheeky name, which follows throughout as they named the wines and offerings following the same theme 😉 The food is amazing!! The wines are real good too! I can’t recommend this spot enough ❤️

Customer service of the restaurant was outstanding. It's a quaint little place with upstairs seating. Nicely decorated and a small little bar on entry. Food was delivered quickly however chicken was a bit tough but tasted good. The salads were fresh. Shrimp and grits was excellent.

If I could rate 10 stars I would. Delicious food. Clean environment! Nice view ! Spectacular wine. All for a great cost. I ordered a wine flight and a bbq flat bread pizza all delicious! I would recommend to anyone visiting Charleston! Mr. Brandon was so professional and Mr. C (Carlton) made the food to perfection! Everyone should visit wellhung for some great wine and great environment!

We asked around and the locals suggested Well Hung. We were lucky to arrive early (430ish) and got a table for 6. Flat breads, charcuterie and salads fresh. But the dishes that stole our taste buds were the Shrimp and Grits AND the Salmon! 2 of the best of all times! See proof in the photos. Service was laid back no rush.
Absolutely will be back!

Whole place smelled like cheese for some reason. We stopped here on our food tour and had coca cola braised short ribs which are not on their menu. They were too sugary for me.
The server was great and the wine bottles look hilarious.
Maybe regular menu items are better.
