We decided to try this place out for some cheesesteaks. They didn’t disappoint in my opinion even though I’m not from Philadelphia so I wouldn’t know how genuine they were. I tried the original, my wife the chicken cheesesteak and my son the 4 alarm cheesesteak although he said isn’t wasn’t hot at all. The interior of the place is nice. Love the bar it is absolutely beautiful. The service was okay. The servers weren’t the quickest and we had to ask to get a drink refill bit over all the place I worth a visit if you haven’t been before.

Fantastic spot for lunch in historic Old Town Manassas! Outdoor dining, superb beer selection, friendly service, delicious food. I recommend the Original Cheesesteak. Be sure to ask for Courtney!

We had dinner at Philadelphia Tavern with friends. We went there because we hadn't eaten there before, but we're glad we did. Our server Mickey was outstanding. He allowed us to move tables after we had been seated. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and especially the beer menu. Mickey was also quick to remove empty dishes. The beer menu was outstanding. The food was excellent. I had the salmon, and it was nice and flaky and delicate.

There are no thrills but I don't think that is the great make of local bar at least one that is good. The staff were awesome and I am pretty pissed with myself for not writting this review sooner so that I could recall their names. Nevertheless the mozzarella sticks were the only thing I recommend not ordering but everything else was yummy. I mean how do you go wrong with fried cheese.

Big shout out to the bartender though. He was AMAZING! So patient with me and really took his time to make drinks that he thought I would really enjoy and were multi dimensional. Honestly such a nice experience and we will return soon just to grab a quick bite and see the team.

Tuesday burger night, we had two birthdays to celebrate, so we took a table on the sidewalk and enjoyed some nice burgers at a discount. I had this month's specialty burger, the breakfast burger with bacon and an egg, plus two patties. It was yummy!
Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service was friendly and attentive.
Wednesday is 50¢ wings, so I may be right back!

Reasonable prices and great food is a winning combo. The reuben and cheesesteak, with fries & onion rings, were delicious; served hot & fresh. The staff (thanks, Mickey!) were attentive and friendly. We're regular customers for good reason.

I ordered from Philadelphia Tavern for the first time, thanks to positive reviews on Google and Yelp. I was in the mood for a meal of fried fish on the day that I ordered. It's hard to find a place that does good fish in Manassas. I got the 'Fish & Chips' with a side of onion rings. When I got my food, I was happy with how it was packaged - the onion rings were in one box and the fish and fries were in another, all within 1 plastic bag. The fish & chips was $15, and the side of onion rings was $5. Not a bad price.

The fish had a great look to it! Very beautiful. The breading for the fish had great flavor and crunch. The fries were a bit soggy, but that's okay. The fries tasted great, as well. The onion rings were perfect, and I loved them. The only negative thing I have to say about the food was that the pieces of fish were so huge that some bites had almost no breading to them, leaving a bland taste in my mouth of nothing-ness. The fish by itself with no breading has no real seasoning to speak of, and is just plain boring. If they could take the pieces of fish and cut them into smaller pieces, and coat all those pieces in breading, I think it would be for the better -- Each bite would have an amazing flavor.

Try this place, if you're on the fence about it, or you never have had it. This is the only thing I've gotten from there, to date (2/14), and the food was so good that I will be going back again. Check back later for updates!

We ordered arancini as appetizer which are supposed to be “balls of rice with toppings inside deep fried “. Their arancini were some kind of dough with a little cheese inside, far from what arancini really are.
I ordered the turkey burger, which was really really bad, probably the worst I had.
My son ordered the beef patty, it was ok… Nothing special.
My husband ordered the pizza and it was the best thing out of all we ordered.
Service was good.
Most definitely I will never be back.
