Went to a rock show last night and had an amazing time! Loved the decorations and the whole vibe of the place! Then i ordered a burger with cajun fries and HOLY CRAP! What a tasty burger! It was huge and tasted soooo good!! The cajun seasoning on the fries was amazing! I highly recommend getting a burger there! I had asked the bartender for an extra cup of mayonnaise and it was so loud in there that he thought i said Band-Aid and he actually brought me a band-aid! Such a sweet thing to have done! But i then clarified it was mayo and we all had a good laugh! ? I highly enjoyed my time there and definitely would go back!!

Anchors Aweigh Dive Bar is a local bar. It’s clean, friendly and better than a “dive“ bar. One pool table, two dart boards, a small bar area with friendly locals. The burgers, fries, chicken sandwich and onion rings were excellent as far as bar food goes. Football games on every screen, a large Jenga game among friends and a Texas Hold’em poker game made this a fun visit.

I visited on Monday for the primary reason of it was the venue for the poker league tonight. The place doesn't seem to be in the safest of neighborhoods, but I didn't factor that into the score. I probably would have given 5 stars because the service, the pour of my drink, the price, and environment feel is top notch. Such a neat interior. I love playing pool and it was fire to see a pool table. I did not play though.
So, I deduct 2 stars from 5 because the bar did not offer food. Kitchen was closed today. I strongly disagree with drinking without a source of food in your stomach. That's my opinion. Likely won't visit back mainly because it's out of my way, but this place has potential.

***I revisited this evening. I order steak fritas. The plate presentation and cook on the steak was great. The fries were underdone for certain, but had good seasoning on them. Steak was subpar in my opinion. Dipping sauce prepared on side was good. Overall, I'm keeping the rating at 3.

I’m a local and I’ve been coming to this location for years but with brand new management this place got the much deserved needed facelift. Great place for a low key get together, local Dive bar to just chill and grab a few beers or drinks, shoot some pool and if you have a bad day just meet all different kinds of people.
Bartenders are amazing…especially Deborah and Tina! Super friendly and great for laughs
I love them! Great prices, music is always playing and you can play your own music.
Live band weekends are the best good time to dance.
Food! The tacos are savageeeeeeee!!!! Haven’t had a chance to try the rest of the stuff on the menu but I’m sure it will be good too. Wish they had late night snacks but it’s new.
Lastly, management….for the matter of months for new ownership has had to make changes it’s worth every penny.
Best part it’s local…..smoke free inside but do your thing in the back patio tables!

Jaime is a hidden gem of a person. Her parter Nick was awesome as well. I, personally , had to hunt Jaime down from when I traveled down here 10 years after I met her at the Tipperary Pub and she still remembers me and still the same personable, nicest and sweetest woman you'll ever encounter behind the bar. Nick, he's awesome too! Genuine fellow , he'll scope you out to make sure you're cool if you're an out of towner but after that it's game on.
