Excellent patio, excellent design, excellent food, excellent service. Sage was a delight, especially after entertaining all of my dad's classic boomer jokes. Everything we ate was delicious, lovely presentation, especially the desserts. The semi freddo was fantastic, the banana bread and pistachios balancing the sweet tart strawberries. Cannot wait to come back!

What a beautiful and delicious restaurant. Nestled in the Emeline hotel, the food is fresh and authentic, staff are great, and the manager Alejandra, was so sweet and charming. Get the Rigatoni with lamb ragu, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back.

We had just arrived into town and were waiting for our hotel. We stopped by here for a quick lunch. However lunch was not being served the only thing that was available was appetizers and drinks. Service was a bit clunky but not terrible. .food and drinks were dropped off then we were forgotten about. Food was quite tasty and well prepared and this helped recover the rating. There are a lot of choices in Charleston I don't know if I would be back. Pricing was a bit high for what we received

Great cafe inside the Emeline. We had a late breakfast of meatballs, biscuit batter pancakes, and salmon avocado toast. All very tasty.

This place was solid. Nothing exceptional, but good.

The ambiance is the best thing about Frannie & Fox, then the food, then the service.

My wife and I went last night and ordered 3 small plates (mussels, meat balls, and crab fritters). The food took a while to come out to us, but it was really busy. Our server was Sage, and she was really nice and apologetic about it.

Sadly, the service declined from there. After our meal we placed a takeaway order for pizza and dessert and it took 45 minutes. Sage apologized multiple times, the manager apologized… everyone was nice, it was just really slow. We finally said we’d like the bill adjusted and we would leave, but right as I said that someone brought the food out.

Not really sure what happened, but I assume there was some disorganization in the kitchen.

Thankfully we were staying at Emeline and didn’t have far to go.

The atmosphere and vibes are great. Our waitress was on top of everything and made good recs. The food however is doesn't match up with the hype and wait times. Yes we had to wait 30 minutes on top of our reservation, which already put a sour taste in our mouth. Old fashion drink was 5/10 drinkable but not mixed well. Okay first time but wouldn't recommend to someone.

I was a hotel guest and overheard while checking out that this restaurant was in the top 10 best hotel restaurants in the south for some publication. Based on my poor experience, I was surprised to hear this, and I could only guess it was awarded by Mad magazine. Turns out it was USA Today, so I wasn't far off.

The decor is nice and on-brand for the hotel itself. We had reservations and were sat quickly.

The seating we had was not very private, and it is loud in the area of the bar overall. It may be quiter elsewhere in the restaurant, but I can't speak to that. It was difficult to converse due to the level of noise.

We ordered meatballs, fried crab balls, a peparoni pizza, and chitarra (square spaghetti).

Both the meatballs and crab balls had good flavors. The issue I had was temperature. Both were too cool. The bread that came with the meetballs was very salty.

I didn't eat the pizza, so I will not comment other than to say it was a limp, wet mess. This was especially awkward because there was no pizza server, so the toppings would fall off the limp slice while trying to make it to the plate.

The chitarra was under seasoned and devoid of flavor. That was surprising since basil and saffron were supposed to feature in the dish, along with lobster meat. The pasta itself was also unremarkable, just there. I ate a few bites, picked out the lobster (tasted as basic as could be), and then set it aside.

Service was passable but apathetic. I had my water refilled often, but tea went without refilling for my dining partner.

If you are dining here, maybe stick to the apps. Compared to similarly priced italian "fresh" redtaurants I've been to in SC, there are better options. I will not be back for a dinner.

Stumbled on Frannie and the Fox one afternoon after shopping at the city market and looking for a bite to eat and to take cover from the imminent rain. We had heard good things, but wow, we had no idea it would be this good! Even off the limited or snack menu they serve during their in between lunch and dinner times.
Their meatballs with whipped ricotta were down right some of the best we’ve ever had.. we got seconds they were that good! Their mozzarella plate was also great, loved the focaccia and giardiniera with it. Can’t wait to come back and try out their entrees.
