Bar B&F - Shinjuku City, Tokyo

Tried to go to Ben Fiddich without a reservation but it was all booked out. Followed two people who tried the same to the sister bar B&F just below in the same building and I'm glad that I did! This is a bar focuses on fruit liquors. It was fun to talk with the bartenders and the cocktails were extremely good. They do not have a menu as they create a cocktail based on your preferences. All 3 cocktails were good but the one with matcha was one of my favorite drinks that I had in my 11 days of Japan travel. Please have it, you'll be surprised how good it is!

Quite under the radar and a real happy find. There’s no menu so be prepared to describe flavours/drinks that you would like to have. The bartenders are knowledgeable and very innovative with their drinks. There are some interesting liquors though some people may find their range limited (eg they don’t have wines). The bar specialises in fruit brandy though the matcha cocktails are really amazing. Prices are also reasonable for such bespoke drinks.

とても美味しく、感動しました。
飲みたいものを少し聴いただけで、期待以上のカクテルを作ってくれるお店でした！フルーツの香りがなぜか倍増したように感じたカクテル、謎のスパイスが一層フルーツ感を引き立てていたカクテルも楽しませていただきました！ともかく美味しさに感激です。
バーテンダーの所作一つ一つも、とても格好いいです。
また行きたいです。

CRYSTAL spirits

新宿西口、海外にも有名なバー、ベンフィディックのセカンドブランドの様なバー
フルーツブランデーに特化しているそうですが、
注文自体は生の果物のカクテルが多いのかもしれません。

1月にお伺いしたところ、金柑やザクロの他にバナナでも作っておられて
フルーツブランデーを使ったカクテルだけ、という訳では無さそうです。

店内内装はとても凝っていて、お酒のラインナップもこだわりが感じられます。

いっぽう、スタッフさんの表情が暗く、笑顔は海外のお客様がお会計のあと席を立つ時のみ
疲れているような表情に見えてしまいました。

お店の外のエレベーターの前にディスプレイが幾つかあるのですが、
割れたグラスと割れたガラス瓶が置いてあり
お酒をお召しの方が集まる場所としては、貴重なグラスやボトルなのかもしれませんが、危険があるような印象を持ちました。

This is not just a bar, it is an EXPERIENCE! There is no menu, so instead their staff asks you about your favorite drinks and curates a drink around that. One of our friends mentioned he wanted a drink with banana, and staff knew what he couldn’t even describe himself, a chocolate banana milkshake drink, complete with sprinkles! We stayed for as long as we could, the experience was amazing!

Every drink is hand curated, so they do take a while, enjoy!!

Everyone will say go to the 9th floor for Bar Benfidditch but honestly their sister bar on the 2nd floor is absolutely amazing! 10 out of 10! Shout out to Shoya and Tomoya, they make the most delicious cocktails and are so friendly. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Tokyo. Thanks Shoya and Tomoya! You made our night

Cozy bar, friendly staff. Bartender was very nice and conversational, English friendly!

Fruit brandy specialized bar. I came here after not being able to get into Bar Benfiddich upstairs but I don’t regret it at all.

You can order standard fair like anywhere else but the point of bars like this are to converse with the bartender so they can make recommendations!

很多喝不到9樓Benfiddich的人會來喝這家2樓的聯盟店，當然也有很多誤會這裡是9樓的，我們則是訂不到9樓的所以跑來喝，但調酒實力跟氛圍還是很不錯的，價位略高，4杯總共收了約8000日幣～
